Acid Scavengers

Acid scavengers, also known as acid-neutralizing agents or acid inhibitors, are additives commonly used in polymers to prevent or mitigate the harmful effects of acids. Acids can be formed during the processing, storage, or use of polymers, and their presence can lead to various issues, including polymer degradation, discoloration, and loss of mechanical properties. Acid scavengers help protect polymers by neutralizing or absorbing these acidic compounds.
